Oppo unveils A37 4G Phone in India and a price tag of Rs 11,990

Oppo , the Chinese handset manufacturer launched an economy 4G Smartphone, A37 in India with a price tag of  Rs. 11,990 . The device will be available from 1st July 2016 and is available in Golden and Grey colors.

The device looks similar to OPPO  R9 minus the physical home button and the fingerprint sensor.

The device has a metal unibody and weighs 140 gms. It looks very sleek at 7.68 mm thickness.

The device boasts a 5 inch HD IPS 2.5D display with a resolution of 720 X 1280 pixels. The screen has the protection of Gorilla Glass 4 and is run by 1.5Ghz Octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor and is complemented by 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory which can be augmented to 128GB with the help of external microSD.

The device supports dual SIM and is based upon Android 5.1 Lollipop platform ColorsOS 3.0. It is compatible with 4G LTE and NFC connectivity, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, FM, 3G, 4G with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India.

It has a8 MP primary camera with LED Flash and has a five mp secondary camera for selfies and video chatting. The smartphone is equipped with Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope. The device is powered by a 630mAh non-removable battery.

OPPO  has become one of the top 5 global smartphone manufacturers, and this has been possible because of aggressive marketing and a formidable offline presence.

Samsung and Apple have remained as numero uno and second in the list while the third slot has been occupied by another Chinese company Huawei.

OPPO  has toppled Chinese counterparts Xiaomi and Lenovo from the list. It makes a diversified list of electronics products which include portable media players, LCD-TVs, MP3 players, and DVD/Blu-ray players. It came into existence in 2004.
