Chris Brown debuts ‘Don’t Be Gone Too Long’ video ft. Ariana Grande

Chris Brown has showcased his talent again with his latest directorial effort for ‘Don’t Be Gone Too Long’.

The music video, which features Pop princess Ariana Grande, was released earlier today, just days before the 25-year-old singer is expected to release his forthcoming album, X.

The plot of the story sees Ariana being captured by an evil king, and it becomes Chris’ mission to save his beloved girlfriend from any harm. The video often cuts to different choreographed scenes where either Grande or Brown is seen dancing in a room lit with simply one light over their heads, giving it a rather spooky effect.

Ariana and Chris halted the song’s release for a couple of months while the singer was caught up in legal issues following his outburst a rehab clinic earlier this year which saw the judge sentence him to jail until further notice.

But now that the R&B singer has that behind him, it seems like he’s in a much better place. Having already enjoyed success with two platinum-selling songs off of his new album, ‘Don’t Be Gone Too Long’ could be his next big hit. Especially since Ariana is featured on the song.

“I directed this one also.Wanted to do something different,” Chris wrote on Twitter, making sure his fans were aware of his directorial skills for the visuals of his latest song. Brown previously directed ‘Fine China’ and ‘Love More’ — all which have become fan favorites.

While most of Chris’ recent songs have been upbeat, it’s refreshing to see him focus on a slowed down ballad.
