Kim Kardashian Book to Arrive April 2015, Selfies at the Center

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West just settled on a $20 million home days ago, but that will not be the biggest hit news of the summer for Kim and Kanye – at least not for Kim, anyway.

The star is now due to have her first book arrive in April 2015. Called “Selfish,” the book’s title draws its inspiration from the 352 pages of photos Kim Kardashian took of herself (yes, the ever-discussed “selfie”) and gave to Kanye West for Valentine’s Day. Kardashian said durin the show Keeping Up With the Kardashians, “It ended up turning out so cool that we came up with this idea to do a book – a selfie book.” Kardashian also said that the new “Selfie” book may indeed picture some “racy” photos of herself.

The “selfie” has become important to a number of world citizens, and even smartphone manufacturers have picked up on the importance of the selfie. The word “selfie” was accepted into the Oxford English Dictionary earlier this year, and smartphone manufacturers HTC and Sony have decided to create 5MP, high-definition cameras that allow consumers to post their best pictures on social media sites Facebook, Twitter, and even Google+.

Kim Kardashian has come under scrutiny for her annulled marriage to New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries, whom Kardashian says was verbally abusive and disrespectful. Even screen writer Tyler Perry was looked down upon in the media when he hired Kardashian to play the role of a faithful wife in  Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West married in May 2014. They have one daughter together, North. Kim is an actress in the series Keeping Up With the Kardashians, a show starring she and her family.

The book will arrive in 2015 under the Universe imprint label and cost $19.95, but we have a feeling that truly “selfie-ish” consumers will likely spend $19.95 to make themselves look more important than they really are.
